The adult moths have brown forewings with vague dark bands and dark dots. The hindwings are plain brown shading darker at the margins. The head and collar are a paler brown. The wingspan is about 3.5 cms.

The species is found across Asia, including:

  • China, and
  • Thailand,

    and has been found in Australia in:

  • Queensland.
