The adult moth of this species has red forewings each with a striking pattern including four white-edged brown chrevrons of various sizes and orientations. The hindwings are pale yellow. The wingspan is about 2 cms.

The species has been found in:

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Victoria,
  • Bass Strait, and
  • Tasmania.
