This Caterpillar was fawn with a pair of dark dorso-lateral lines, and a yellow head. It lived between a pair of leaves of its food plant joined by silk. It was found on

  • Gum Trees ( Eucalyptus, MYRTACEAE ),

    and grew to a length of about 1.5 cms.

    It pupated in a cocoon between a leaf and the side of the glass jar in which it was housed.

    The moth emerged in about a week in spring in Sydney. It was fawn with a dark splotch on each fore wing beside the hinge. The hind wings were yellow with a black border. It had a wing span of about 2 cms.

    Probably a member of the OECOPHORIDAE.
