The adult moths of this species have grey or brown forewings, each with dark markings including half a vague dark band across the middle of each wing. The forewings have slightly recurved wingtips. The hindwings each have a vague complete transverse dark band across the middle. The wingspan is about 3.5 cms.

The species has been found in:

  • Western Australia,
  • Northern Territory,
  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales.
