The female moths of this species have brown wings covered in vague pale rings, and with several vague diagonal darker bands. The hindwings are a darker purplish brown with some vague dark diagonal bands The wingspan of the female is about 7 cms.

The males vary from yellow to brown with similar diagonal bands. The forewing tips of the male are recurved. The wingspan of the male is about 5 cms.

The species has been found in Australia in

  • New South Wales.
