The literature is reluctant to specify if the species is dimorphic. The wings of at least one of the sexes have rusty brown upper surfaces with black edges. Underneath, the wings of at least one of the sexes are grey or brown, each with a pattern of patches of metallic pale green. The butterflies have a wingspan of about 3 cms.

This species has been found as various subspecies in

  • Papua, and
  • Australia .
